Music and singing workshops

Glór na mBan are making a name for themselves for audience participation workshops linked to their festival appearances in New Zealand and Australia. The girls can present workshops on Gaelic singing, Accordion, Bodhrán technique, Irish dancing, and others by arrangement.

Their Gaelic singing workshop at Auckland folk festival last January attracted rave reviews and enthusiastic audience response. By the time 60 mins.had elapsed the girls had a marquis of approximately 100 people in fine Irish voice singing "Téir Abhaile Riú" (track 1 from their album ) !

More recently Neasa and Ang (with the fine background support of Mel and Edie) conducted both an Accordion and Bodhrán workshop at The National Australian Celtic Festival in Portarlington.Attendance levels were extremely high and participant feedback included:

"Many thanks to Neasa for the informative Melodeon workshop at Portarlington, we're enjoying your CD more each play."

"Just a courtesy message to say hello and many thanks for your attention and patience at the workshop in Portarlington last Saturday."

"We felt that we had become "groupies" as we attended all three of your performances along with the fantastic workshop on the drum (not sure how to spell it ).We purchased your cd and played it on the way home. "
